Most operators found the Webb 17″ 42cm Petrol Lawn Mower easy to assemble and start. There is a safety handle which must be held in place at all times while starting and operating the lawn mower. One person had difficulty starting the engine until they realized this requirement. It is standard on almost all new lawn mowers.
This is a self propelled lawn mower and one writer felt that is definitely necessary since it is a relatively heavy machine. The roller leaves a nice classic striped looking lawn. Although one operator could not arrange to get the stripped look he was looking for regardless of the height adjustment that he choose. Not sure if this problem was due to the lawn mower, the lawn or the operator.
One owner received his lawn mower without an instruction booklet. He was still able to operate the lawnmower and figure out all of the features. He eventually did receive an instruction booklet after the fact.
Perhaps the most negative review was from the owner who had maintenance and warranty issues. He could not get the lawn mower to start when it was warm and also had to have the throttle lever as well as the grass bag replaced under warranty. He also had difficulty obtaining support from the dealer for service to his lawn mower.
